Do you think the Queen has any actually purpose in Canada?
(Firstly this is a question for Canadians only, I don’t really want anyone else’s.opinion) The other day I was listening to the news and something about the Queen being in Canada for Canada’s day and I honestly thought to myself, "So ****ing what? she’s old and she has nothing to do with us as a country, as well as in general" of course thats my thought. I want to know who many other Canadians feel this way, if any.
Okay I kinda realized I made a mistake. Her being old actually has nothing to do with Canada, however I kind of want to know what exactly she has to do WITH Canada other then being a monarch. she really doesnt have as much power here as she would have say the WWI era

What is a creative topic for the theme, Debate and Diplomacy: Successes, Failures, and Consequences?
I’m participating in next year’s History Day, and me and my friend are doing a senior documentary. We are looking for a creative, out of the box topic, that no one else would really think of doing. It can be an event, person, court case, etc. It can do with both debate and diplomacy or just one of them. Since we are doing a documentary, the topic must be visual, and of course have a good amount of primary sources available. Any ideas?
In you do your focus on the United Nations (UN) you can pick from any of the many topics they have tried to resolve, or any of the countries involved. Also you have an unlimited amount of resources. Check out the UN website UN.org.
They have had success mostly with educational awareness and world health issues. And plenty of failures when it comes to other topics because its hard to get everyone to agree (esp the veto powers). Anyhow its an organization based around structured debate with the hopes of maintaining good International relations. It seems to fit all of ur topic pretty well.

How can I get my son to develop greater empathy and appreciation of others feelings?
My son is 7 years old, recently diagnosed with dyslexia (not sure if this has a bearing or not). He is a great character but lacks control, he has no persception of danger and has no empathy or appreciation of others feelings.
For example he will be play fighting and the other child will be asking him to stop – he wont and will continue to hurt the child. This isnt done maliciously, its not a deliberate choice to hurt he doesnt know the limits, when to stop or apprecaite how the other person is feeling.
First, you need to stop making excuses for his behavior.
Second, you have to correct him. If words don’t do it, you’re going to have to be more resourceful. You can’t just tell him no.
Third, you have to face the possibility that he doesn’t care what the other people are feeling. Maybe he’s born to be a bully. Little boys play rough with each other. When I was 7, we would throw rocks at each other and fight all the time. Let him be a kid, but be there to guide him and make sure you teach him how he can and can’t act in front of you.

They say obesity kills more people than cigarettes, So why not tax junk food. If they really cared for us ” the people” they tax soda, cookies, fast food.
They put those diet pills out of business that are unhealthy. I think it decrees obesity, if they tax unhealthy foods.
raising cigarette money, just going to make people over weight. More people are just going to turn to food. You quit smoking you eat more. so makes you wonder does the government really care for us?

I like to do small things for my boyfriend to show I care, for example I made him an apple crumble for passing his course. But I have heard this is bad for the relationship. Is that true?
i dont kno where ur getting ur info but that deff not true!! doing little things for him lets hom know you care and how much you think of him! guys love to be wanted just not NEEDED…they love it when u do little things like that for them…guys love it when their woman WANTS them around but doesnt NEED them around…you need to be an independant woman who can do her own thing but chooses to be with him instead u kno…and i kno for a fact if i did that for my man he would LOVE IT!! lol random acts of kindness strengthen a relationship they dont break it!
