Here I’m trying to think again around the structure of knowing, and what metaphorical maps we might use to provide that structure. It seems to me that most acts of knowing use a structure which involves a human subject engaged in an act of knowing with some object of that knowing (which we might call ‘knowledge’). Changing the name of that metaphorical object to ‘information’ or ‘data’ takes the emphasis away from the human subject and the act of knowing that they perform but does not alter the basic schema. In a sense I suspect terms like ‘data’ and ‘information’ take their meaning partly from their position within this kind of structure. If this is a possible map of the relationships which determines ‘knowledge’ in these terms; a subject , and act of knowing, and an object of that knowing, then it’s worth speculating where this map comes from. I would guess that this is drawn from the perceptual experiences we have with objects in the real world. These fully concrete physical experiences similarly articulate the relationships between subjects, actions and objects, and it may be that this schema is deployed in metaphorical form within our cognition to allow us to understand ‘knowledge’, with the consequence being that the putative ‘objects’ of that knowing are structurally separated from the knower just as the objects of perception are rendered as separate from the perceiver.

The advert is to be aired on Monday night on Channel 4. Marie Stopes is a key provider for abortions earning £30million or more a year from the NHS to carry out abortions. The theme of their advert is "Are you late?" and will feature worried looking women. An obvious advert for their abortion facilities. There are no restrictions on the time of day the advert can be shown, so could be linked to children’s pro grammes. What are your views on the advert? Do you think abortion should be advertised on the television?
I don’t think it should be advertised in the sense that it is a product that needs to be sold. BUT I do recognize that there are many young girls/women out there who have no access to the information about the choices available to them regarding their health, bodies and sexuality. Adverts on TV might be the only way to reach out to people who would otherwise not know they have options.
My reception is at a hotel and we are staying there on our wedding night. Im just wondering if we bring tooth brushes, change of clothes (i dont think i want to wear my wedding gown the next morning!) etc, what did you bring and how do we get it there.

Yes, you will definitely want to pack an overnight bag with whatever things you need that evening (toothbrush, contact solution, etc) and a change of clothes. You have a couple options for getting it to your room
- have a trusted family member or bridesmaid drop it off at the hotel
- put it in the trunk of the car you’ll be taking to the hotel
- if you’re taking a limo, have a guest put it in their car and just grab the bag from them right before you leave for the night
- drop it off at the hotel earlier in the day and ask them to hold it for you (call and make sure this is okay first)

What is Mayweather playing at now? Pacman accepts the 14 day cut off and now Mayweather wants blood testing til the day of the fight and a bigger share of the purse…Why is it that all of a sudden the 14 day cut off is not good enough for Mayweather?
As a fan of both of these fighters (moreso Floyd) i think Mayweather is acting stupid and looking wary of losing his 100% record…..He’s already made strong demands with the testing now he’s making more…..
This fight will never happen Mayweather simple does not want it and Pacman only wants 1 more fight…..As a big fan of Floyd im starting to lose alot of respect for him up until now i thought of the blood tests as fare way to go with the 14 day cut off being a fare (considering Pacman wanted 24 at first) but now us Mayweather fans are left looking very stupid if Mayweather does not take the fight …Floyd says "Im the best fighter ever" maybe so Floyd but now is your time to prove it….If Floyd beat Pacman well then he can soundly say he is the greatest ever until then i dont think he can as all the best fighters fought the best fighters of their generation and Money and Pacman are the best right now without doubt!!! And even if Floyd was to lose he’d still be considered one of the greatest boxers ever to step foot in the ring!!

This generation is full of boxing divas unlike when the days of Duran, Leonard, Pryor, Arguello, Mancini, Hearns and so on. Those guys will fight for the fans and show them who is the better boxer. Now a days, some boxers say they are the greatest but in reality they are the most primadona boxer in the world.
